The application for the Canford Incinerator was heard by BCP's Western Planning Committee on 12th June and was refused.

However, it is likely that MVV will appeal the decision. Magwatch is preparing for this in a variety of ways. See Next Steps.

In May Magwatch submitted a carefully researched Summary Objection to the planning department, opposing MVV’s application for the Canford incinerator. 

In the week before BCP’s Western Planning Committee  meeting on 12th June, which decided the application (a refusal), Magwatch sent their 11 page Briefing Note to all members of the planning committee. This was based on the style of a briefing note we know that MVV sent to planning committee members before the deferred September meeting. Our Note summarised various reasons for refusal.
