WH White would like to build 1200 houses on the land north of Magna Road, between Canford Vale - currently under development - and Hamworthy Club.
WE MUST DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO STOP BCP ADOPTING THIS LAND AS PART OF THE LOCAL PLAN.
See below to find out how this proposal fits into the evolving Local Plan, and press button below to find out more about the Local Plan .
The first stage of the Local Plan is the Call for Sites, which is an invitation by BCP to landowners to 'promote' their sites for development. WH White promoted this land for the original BCP Call for Sites, but it was not adopted. This submission is the beginning of their second attempt.
The first stages of any planning application are the Preapp (pre-application) which lays the ground for the full application, and the first stage of a Preapp is normally an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The documents lodged with BCP on 28th July is the three-part EIA. If you want to download these see BELOW.
By the end of the year, BCP will hope to be able to publish the list of sites which have been adopted. There will follow a public consultation.
THAT IS WHERE YOU WILL COME IN AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
Over the next few months Magwatch will keep you informed and will offer advice on how to respond to the consultation.

Magwatch is a group of local residents from Canford Magna, Merley, Oakley and Bearwood formed to protect our local green spaces, which are under constant threat from developers.
